Only three days before the launch of our first Heli-Ski Safari, “EastWestSafari Classic 2016”, and the weather forecast looks great. A few small snowfalls on the day before our departure is scheduled followed a couple of sunny days. The second part of the Safari looks a little less certain with more snow and perhaps some cloudy days.
Mountain activities are always subject to changing weather conditions, even more so with a logistically complex journey such as a Heli-Ski Safari. They key is to remain flexible. Our itinerary allows us to switch to alternative routes. The perfect sunny powder day exploring the Swiss glaciers can be followed by a rainy day where you would rather test the spa facilities of the hotel. You never know, but both can be exceptional if it is shared with the right people!
